CUPRA takes on the padel court.

CUPRA makes inroads in padel together with the best players in the world. A year after its creation, the new car brand makes a breakthrough in this racquet sport by assembling a unique team of ambassadors with Fernando Belasteguín, Pablo Lima, Alejandra Salazar and Ariana Sánchez.

After captivating car lovers, CUPRA has decided to contribute its values of uniqueness, sophistication and performance to this sport by pairing up with four players who have been at the top of their game since they broke onto the scene. 

Brand ambassadors are the duos Belasteguín-Lima and Salazar-Sánchez.

The Belasteguín-Lima and Salazar-Sánchez duos, two of the world’s best padel tandems, will sport the CUPRA logo at this season’s World Padel Tour tournaments. The passion, precision, determination and boldness that CUPRA transmits will accompany the four players on the court in all the tournaments of the professional padel circuit.

A unique team

The new members of the CUPRA Tribe are among the top ten best padel players in the world. At one end of the court, Fernando Belasteguín has dominated this sport for a long time, holding the number one spot on the leader board for 16 consecutive years. The Argentine competes alongside the world’s third seeded Pablo Lima, and the pair won the Master Final in 2018.

On the other side of the net, Alejandra Salazar is the fourth ranked player and last year also won the Master Final in the women’s category. This year she is forming a powerful tandem with Ariana Sánchez, one of the most promising players of the World Padel Tour, who became the youngest player in 2017 to win an Open title.

International expansion

Padel has grown exponentially in popularity in recent years. In addition to becoming the second most widely practiced sports in Spain with more than five million players, it is also the fastest growing sport in Europe and the installation of new facilities is seeing triple-digit growth.
